UND's Schweigert is Big Sky football coach of the year

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - University of North Dakota head football coach Bubba Schweigert has been named coach of the year in the Big Sky Conference.
Schweigert was selected for the honor by his peers. This season he's led the Fighting Hawks to a 9-2 overall record and a share of the league title. Both UND and Eastern Washington have 8-0 conference records.
UND is in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs for the first time, and is the No. 7 overall seed. The team will host either North Carolina A&T or Richmond on Dec. 3.
