District 73 master plan
The Hawthorn Elementary District 73 school board will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5, to receive updated information about the proposed Educational Facilities Master Plan. The meeting will be at Hawthorn Middle School South, 600 N. Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills. The core team has analyzed data and community feedback and will present two options culminating with a recommendation of one concept to the board. After the presentation, a time for public comment will be held. The school board will make decision at its Dec. 12 meeting.
