Not so fast on scrapping Obamacare

President-elect Trump stated the first thing he is going to do after taking office is to "get rid of Obamacare." There are some parts of the Affordable Care Act that I feel should be kept.

Before the ACA, insurance companies used to be able to deny a person coverage for any pre-existing condition they deemed feasible; if one had cancer, heart disease, asthma etc. your insurer could tell you "we are not going to cover you for this".

Before the ACA, insurers could cancel your plan if you got sick. The law changed that.

There are many people on both sides of the aisle who see great benefit of allowing children to stay on their parents plan until they are 26.

If you feel the same way I do, you need to get on the phone to your representative and senators and tell them how you feel. Then the question is, what do you do with the 20 million people that now have insurance coverage because of the ACA.
