Hanover Township hosts new principal reception

Hanover Township hosted its annual New Leaders in Education reception Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Township Senior Center to recognize three new School District U-46 principals that serve in Hanover Township.

Principals Mike Demovsky of Bartlett High School; Brian Moran of South Elgin High School; and Dave Smiley of Streamwood High School were honored for their new leadership roles. Hanover Township officials were joined by other local elected officials from the community in recognizing the principals.

"Principals are a vital part of our communities, helping our youth excel in education," said Hanover Township Brian P. McGuire. "We are honored for the opportunity to recognize these local leaders and show our gratitude for their impact in the community."

This was the 8th annual event recognizing new U-46 principals.

"These leaders bring great experience, skills and passion to their roles as high school principals," said School District U-46 CEO Tony Sanders. "We know that students, staff and our communities benefit from Dave, Brian and Mike's decision to dedicate their lives to public education and to take on the important role of leading a high school."
