Arlington Heights library gets 5-star rating

For the ninth consecutive year, the Arlington Heights Memorial Library has received a five-star rating in Library Journal's national rankings of public libraries.

The library is one of only three in Illinois to get a five-star designation, with Naperville and Skokie also earning the distinction. Another 16 libraries in Illinois got three-star and four-star ratings.

The Library Journal examined the annual number of library visits, circulation, program attendance, public internet computer use and circulation of electronic materials for 7,349 libraries nationwide, giving three, four or five stars to 260 libraries.
