Arlington Heights holiday tree lighting set for Nov. 25

Arlington Heights will hold its annual holiday tree-lighting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at North School Park.

The ceremony will begin with dance performances from the Arlington Heights Park District's Vibe dance companies, followed by a performance of the Dickens Carolers from John Hersey High School. The park district's baton group will dazzle early arrivers with their twirling moves starting at 4:15 p.m.

After brief comments, the countdown will begin around 5 p.m. to "flip the switch" that activates the lights of the holiday tree in the park, located at Arlington Heights Road and Eastman Street.

This year, the village's Special Events Commission is sponsoring free Holiday Trolley rides that will pick up and drop off riders at North School Park, the Arlington Heights Historical Museum and Harmony Park. The trolley is complete with decorations and holiday music.
