Christensen, Walkup take District 3 McHenry seats
Two Republicans on Tuesday night retained two seats in District 3 on the McHenry County Board.
With all precincts reporting, Chris Christensen, a former Cary Elementary District 26 school board member, and Michael Walkup, who also ran for board chairman, had amassed 11,979 and 11,809 votes, respectively, according to unofficial results.
Democrats K. Bergan Schmidt and Diane Johnson, who had 20 years experience on the Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 school board, had 8,552 and 8,318 votes, respectively.
The top two finishers win seats.
