Grain higher, livestock lower

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery was .20 cent higher at $4.18 a bushel; December corn was 2 cents higher at $3.4820 bushel; December oats was 1 cent higher at $2.2540 a bushel while November soybeans gained 5.60 cents to $9.8240 a bushel.

Beef lower and pork prices were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle was .95 cent lower at $1.0443 a pound; November feeder cattle was .98 cent lower at $1.2560 pound; December lean hogs lost .98 cent to $.4683 a pound.
