Woman badly hurt when hit by SUV in Naperville

A woman walking alongside a Naperville road was badly injured early Tuesday when she was struck by an SUV, police said.
The 37-year-old Joliet woman was hurt shortly before 7 a.m. as she was walking west on the parkway next to Warrenville Road near Freedom Drive.
Police said a 17-year-old motorist from St. Charles lost control of a Jeep Grand Cherokee, left the road and hit the pedestrian.
The injured woman was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville.
Naperville police are investigating. No tickets were issued as of Tuesday evening.
