PLZ to relocate HQ from Addison to Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE - Transwestern and Darwin Realty have completed a 24,400-square-foot headquarters lease at Corridors I, a 149,896-square-foot office building at 2651 Warrenville Road in Downers Grove.

PLZ Aeroscience Corp., North America's largest specialty aerosol product manufacturer, plans to relocate in February from its current headquarters in Addison. PLZ's headquarters were previously housed in a distribution center whose operations were consolidated to a new facility in Pacific, Missouri. Located 12 miles from the Addison building, the Downers Grove office will house approximately 80 employees.

Transwestern Senior Vice Presidents Joe Stevens and Fred Ishler, along with Senior Associate Lindsay Borkan, represented the owner, Dallas-based Transwestern Investment Group, an independent investment management affiliate of Transwestern. Adam Haefner, director of brokerage services at Darwin Realty, represented the tenant.

"This transaction allowed PLZ to remain in the western suburbs while substantially upgrading its headquarters facility," said Haefner. "The move will help facilitate its rapid growth, along with its efforts to recruit and retain top talent."

Stevens added the company's relocation "demonstrates the continued appeal of the suburban office market for corporate headquarters locations.

"Demand is especially high for Class A buildings like Corridors I that offer high accessibility and visibility along major expressways, abundant parking, large floor plates and the modern amenities today's tenants want in an office building," he said
