Sodick purchases land in Schaumburg for new headquarters

SCHAUMBURG - NAI Hiffman recently assisted Sodic, Inc. in the purchase of 4.92-acre of land in Schaumburg from Avanti Group.

A build-to-suit project will soon be underway to build Sodick's new North American Headquarters on the site. Sodick is a manufacturer of EDM machines that are used for the production of dies, molds, and other various applications that cannot be produced by standard machining methods.

John Cash, executive vice president, and David Haigh, vice president of NAI Hiffman, and Tak O'Haru, president of WHITE CUBE LLC, represented Sodick. Avanti Group was, represented by Mike Magliano of Cushman & Wakefield.

Northern Builders has been selected as general contractor to build the 40,000-square-foot office and showroom space on the acquired land. The building will be located at 601 Commerce St. within Woodfield Business Center, with high-profile exposure along I-90.

The new building, slated for completion in December 2017 was designed by Harris Architects with civil engineering firm, SPACEO, Inc.
