Fast facts: Jimmie Johnson, in sight of a record-tying seventh Sprint Cup championship, leads all full-time drivers with eight wins at Martinsville. Gordon, a part-timer in 2016, has nine. ... Kyle Busch will attempt to become the first driver this season to sweep at a single track. Busch won in April. ... The Round of Eight opener will likely be Gordon's final NASCAR race. He didn't qualify for the championship. ... Logano is the only finalist with fewer than three wins at the three Round of Eight tracks (Martinsville, Texas, Phoenix).

Hamilton, who won his 50th career race last week, still needs his teammate to make some mistakes if he hopes to complete his comeback. ... Rosberg set the lap record at Mexico in 2015, the circuit's return to Mexico after a 24-year absence.
