Mental Health Coalition meets

An introduction meeting of the Lake County Mental Health Coalition is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in Room 1114 at the Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center, 2010 Grand Ave., Waukegan. Co-chairs Lake County Board Chairman Aaron Lawlor and former state Senator Susan Garrett, with other leaders, will share data and statistics on the affect of mental and behavioral health on Lake County citizens and communities, and discuss strategies that will affect change. A countywide campaign to raise awareness about mental health and priority initiatives also will be discussed. The coalition includes representatives of hospitals, health and housing.
