Newborns show Cubs pride at Arlington Heights hospital

Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights reports that Cubs fever broke out in its nursery.

At least six babies spent the first day of their lives this week decked out in Chicago Cubs-themed T-shirts or Onesies, according to the hospital's Facebook page.

Connor Eckhardt was born just after Game 4 of the National League championship series ended on Wednesday. He was early.

"He wanted to come early so he didn't miss the World Series," said his father Brandon Eckhardt, in a news release from the hospital.

Jason Amato wanted to name his newborn child after the late Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray.

Wife Kristy vetoed it. Probably a good idea, given they had a girl. They named her Faith.

"If you have been a Cubs fan, you know it takes a lot of faith to stick with them for all these years," Jason Amoto said. "We have a lot of faith this is the Cubbies' year. Faith is going to be living proof of that for years to come."
