Ensuring we have a voice in Springfield

We are writing to share our support for Corinne Pierog, State Senate candidate in the 25th District, and to ask that you also support her efforts to make sure that our voices are heard in Springfield.

This election is about who will best represent our interests while in office. Corinne has shown a strong dedication already by serving the residents of the Fox Valley through her positon on the St Charles School Board and Housing Commission. She is a tireless advocate for those in our communities that need our support by speaking out for those with mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilities. She has built a successful business and has been recognized by various organizations for her efforts. She has been endorsed by the Chicago Tribune.

Her opponent, Jim Oberweis has somehow found a way to miss 200 votes in the Senate over the past two years including missing inexcusable votes on 30 education issues, at a time when the education challenges in this state should be front and center. Finally, and even more galling, is that "our representative" did not see it worth his time to show up for the vote on the stopgap budget.

Who will best represent our interests? It should be clear.
