Lake County pollwatchers

Lake County pollwatcher credentials are available to qualified political organizations for the Nov. 8 election. All pollwatchers are required to have credentials issued by the Lake County clerk or Illinois State Board of Elections to observe at any voting site. Pollwatchers may represent candidates, established political parties, qualified civic organizations and organized proponents or opponents of ballot propositions. Pollwatcher training is Thursday, Oct. 20, at 1:30 p.m. in the Lake County clerk's office conference room, 18 N. County St., Waukegan. Requests for credentials and registration for training can be sent via email to elections@lakecountyil.gov or by calling (847) 377.2314. Candidates can visit LakeCandidatePower.info and download the pollwatcher guide, a brochure explaining the qualifications and responsibilities of a pollwatcher.
