Muslim Association of Bolingbrook to Host Open Mosque House on Sunday October 16th to Help with Peace Message

Muslim Association of Bolingbrook (MAB) will be hosting an Open Mosque day on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 3:00 am to 5:00 pm at their facility on 351 Veterans Pkwy, Bolingbrook, IL 60490. Muslim Association of Bolingbrook is a non-profit organization that provides religious services, programs for the youth and adults, charitable donations and education with an emphasis on promoting communal harmony through interfaith activities.

Mr. Anwaar Khan, President, Muslim Association of Bolingbrook, request's and invite's all neighbors and different faiths to attend the Open Mosque House at the Muslim Association of Bolingbrook (MAB). Mr. Khan said that several Mosques will be opening their doors to their Mosques under the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC) in partnership with Gain Peace, a division of Islamic Circle of North America. He added there will also be several other Open Mosque House events scheduled throughout the Chicagoland area and this event is designed to open up as many doors of the Mosques to get as many people to attend at their locations of choice and convenience.

"Our community is very dear to us and it is important that we continue to help and portray the true message of Islam said Mr. Khan "This open house will provide another opportunity for the public to ask questions, socialize with Muslims, and understand that Muslims promote peace. This is a great way for our community to get acquainted with their Muslim neighbors. There have been successful events similar to this in the past at MAB and it is expected that this event will also have a greater turnout. The Open House is designed for the public to tour the facility, observe Muslims during worship, view several display booths, and basically get comfortable with the Muslim neighbors. The event is totally free and ethnic refreshments will be served at the end of the event. Mr. Khan urged people of all faiths to attend the event with their families and friends.
