Girls volleyball: Lakes' Lahr lowers the boom on Antioch
McKenna Lahr pounded 16 kills and collected 12 digs, and Lakes' girls volleyball team beat host Antioch 25-22, 25-16 in Northern Lake County Conference action Wednesday night.
Erica Grant tallied 8 kills and 9 digs in the winning effort. Katie Billetdeaux and Kaylee Lebron added 6 and 4 kills, respectively, for Lakes (16-5, 5-1), while Rachel Orpano delivered 29 assists. Paige Bartlett had 15 digs, and Toyin Jackson chipped in 5 digs and 1 ace.
Libertyville d. Mundelein: The Wildcats improved to 6-0 in the North Suburban Conference and 19-7 overall with a 25-12, 25-12 win.
Anna Lillydahl dished out 12 assists for Libertyville, while Lindsay Lyon slammed 4 kills.
Mundelein (9-19, 2-3) received 3 kills from Sidney Brunkow and two from Katherine East.
Lake Zurich d. Stevenson: The Bears won the North Suburban match 25-21, 22-25, 25-20.
Stevenson (21-6, 4-2) was led by Jori Radtke's 16 kills and Sophie Sorenson's 11. Alex Cuc had 28 assists, and Chloe Robinson notched 14 digs. Hope Havenhill added 4 kills for the Patriots.
Warren d. Waukegan: Amanda Howe and Jessica Weinberg served 5 and 3 aces, respectively, as the Blue Devils won 25-10, 25-13 in North Suburban action.
Olivia Schostok had 4 kills for Warren (14-9, 2-3), while Claire Lundtveit and Abby Berkowicz added two apiece. Weinberg also dished out 4 assists, and Allison Maan de Kok had three.
