Law day for senior citizens

Lake County senior citizens are invited to Senior Law Day, from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Park City Branch Court, 301 S. Greenleaf St. Lake County judges will discuss probate court, elder law and jury duty. Representatives from the Lake County state's attorney's office and the Lake County sheriff's office will teach seniors how to avoid criminal scams and ruses. Security in the home, on a computer or in the courthouse also will be addressed, and service dogs Hitch and Mitch will be on hand. Convenient parking is available and light refreshments.
