Oct. 7 to Nov. 12: CLC's 36th Annual Recent Works exhibit on display

The College of Lake County's 36th annual "Recent Works: A Juried Competition" exhibit opens Friday, Oct. 7 and runs through Nov. 12. The community is invited to meet the artists at a reception from 6-8 p.m. in CLC's Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art on the Grayslake Campus. The reception will include refreshments and live entertainment.

The exhibit features 35 artworks (drawings, paintings, photographs, ceramics and sculptures) by 23 artists. The juror was Lou Pierozzi, ceramic artist and chair of art and design at Oakton Community College. More than $1,000 in cash prizes and purchase awards will be given to artists selected for the exhibit. An opening reception will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 in the gallery,
