Reagan had a role in U.S. job losses

I was walking my dog in the park one recent morning and was told, by a neighbor that the Democrats have caused the loss of jobs in this good country of ours. I had to remind him of a decision by Ronald Reagan that just may have had something to do with it.

Does anyone recall he had two acts that put millions out of work. One, he lowered the tariffs on imports and allowed products from Eastern countries, like China that destroyed many American businesses and caused the closing of their doors.

The second action he took allowed 5 million immigrants to come in for one purpose only, destroy unions.

The irony of this is, he was once, in the 1940s, president of the Screen Actors Guild. What caused him to move from the support of labor to the destruction of it? Could it have been money?
