Wheeling's Platinum Pools earns prestigious award

Wheeling-based Platinum Pools surpassed its peers to win a prestigious industry design award from The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals. The company received an APSP International Award for Excellence for their outdoor living project in Bull Valley, Illinois. Platinum Pools earned the honor in the Residential Concrete Pools category.

This project included a backyard patio and pool area with a custom pool with many features including an island which feature sitting areas and fire pit, a spa, a lazy river, as well as a slide which goes into the swimming pool.

Firms across the U.S. and around the world submit hundreds of entries to the competition each year. The APSP International Awards of Excellence program then recognizes the most beautiful and creative installations of pools, spas, hot tubs and water features. "We are honored and humbled to have been recognized by this prestigious organization," said James Atlas, principal of Platinum Pools.

All APSP recipients will be officially recognized in the October issue of AQUA Magazine and honored during the APSP Awards Reception, Nov. 1 in New Orleans.
