Libertyville man charged with drug possession

A 24-year-old Libertyville man was charged with a series of drug possession offenses Tuesday, according to the Libertyville Police Department.

Police searched the home of Rodrigo A. Rojas, on the 1500 block of West Park Ave., and found 20 grams of cocaine, 100 hits of LSD, 60 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms and 235 Xanax pills, according to a news release from Libertyville police.

The search of Rojas' home was the conclusion of an investigation by the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group, who were assisted by Libertyville.

Rojas was being held at the Lake County jail Wednesday night to await a bond hearing.
