Visitors get a taste of culture at Mundelein's One World Festival

Music, dance, food, art and crafts from around the world were all part of Saturday's One World Festival in Mundelein.

The village of Mundelein Human Relations Commission, Mundelein Park and Recreation District, Fremont Library District, and Mundelein Community Connection sponsored the event in Kracklauer Park.

Organizers said the fourth annual festival is held to promote understanding and acceptance of Mundelein's variety of ethnic, cultural and religious diversity in a fun, educational and family-centered environment.

Entertainment included Siempre Flamenco, Guy Louis' World Music Tour, Royal Scottish Country Dance Society of Chicago, Chicago Korean Dance Company and local storyteller Paddy Lynn.

El Barrio, Lauretta's Italian Bake Shop, Tony Cannoli and Tony Dogs were some of the food vendors on hand.
