Police: Round Lake Park fire may have been set by intruder
A Thursday morning fire that destroyed a Round Lake Park house and injured one resident may have been set by an intruder, police said. A neighbor on the 500 block of East Indian Trail, northwest of Hainesville Road and Washington Street, called 911 at 10:04 a.m. to report smoke and flames inside the ranch house. Full story.
Hanover Park man again accused of taking illicit pictures of a child
A Hanover Park man has again been charged with child pornography, this time after taking pictures of a child in a business, police said. Police were called Sunday to a business on the 7500 block of Barrington Road in Hanover Park after witnesses said they saw a man taking pictures of a child. Full story.
Dog rescued from Arlington Hts. sewer
Arlington Heights police and firefighters rescued a 2-year-old pit bull after the dog fell into an open sewer in a backyard on the 200 block of South Forest Avenue. Clyde's owner was happy to see him again and thankful for the help. Full story.
