Hanover Park man again accused of taking illicit pictures of child

A Hanover Park man has again been charged with child pornography, this time after taking pictures of a child in a business, police said.

Police were called Sunday to a business on the 7500 block of Barrington Road in Hanover Park after witnesses said they saw a man taking pictures of a child.

Police were able to identify Dana R. Gould, 54, by using a surveillance video, officials said in a news release. Authorities conducted a search warrant Tuesday at Gould's home, on the 7800 block of Carlisle Drive, and found child pornography, the news release said.

Gould also was charged with resisting a peace officer, a misdemeanor charge.

Gould was accused of child pornography after an incident in a Wheeling store in May 2012. A mother told police she saw a man put something under her 13-year-old daughter's dress. A store employee identified Gould when he returned to the store a few days later. Gould later admitted to placing the digital camera under the girl's dress, police said.

He plead guilty in 2013 to unauthorized video recording, was sentenced to 30 months of probation and ordered to complete mental health and sexual offender counseling and follow all treatment recommendations.

Gould's bail was set at $50,0000 Thursday in Rolling Meadows. He's expected in court again Sept. 22.
