Naperville Park District plans Sept. 13 playground re-opening at Old Sawmill Park

The Naperville Park District invites the community to help celebrate the reopening of the playground at Old Sawmill Park on Tuesday, September 13. The event will take place at 5:00 p.m.

Neighbors are invited to bring their families and friends to participate in a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, enjoy refreshments and giveaways, and check out the new play equipment and landscaping.

Old Sawmill Park is located at 432 Massachusetts Avenue.

In the event of inclement weather, the playground celebration will be rescheduled for Wednesday, September 14 at 5:00 p.m. Residents can check the weather cancellations tab at www.napervilleparks.org for the latest updates.

The playground design was based on input from neighbors and includes state-of-the-art play equipment that is accessible to children of all abilities. The playground has separate play structures for 2-5 year-olds and 5-12 year-olds, featuring a suspension bridge, gyro-pod spinner, a rope net climbing wall and six new slides.
