Arlington Heights dialysis center closed after flood

An Arlington Heights dialysis center is closed for a few days after rainwater leaked inside as roof repairs were being done, officials said Tuesday.

A manager at DaVita Arlington Heights Renal Center, 17 W. Golf Road, said Monday's "deluge of rain" flooded the office after crews working on the shopping center's roof removed its membrane.

Another employee said some 60 patients are being asked to go to DaVita's locations in Buffalo Grove and Schaumburg. Crews are currently working on cleaning the Arlington Heights office, which they hope to reopen by Friday.
