Don't be fooled; Trump is dangerous

Fed up with a fractured, gridlocked Congress, I admit that I was enamored by an aggressive, take-charge Trump who promised to resolve three biggies - immigration, terrorism and jobs/trade.

Within weeks, I saw the same troubling personality issues emerge that you have seen. Bye, bye, Trump.

Others said that soon, he would turn around and act presidential. Wrong!

In the very remote possibility that he could "act presidential" in the next few weeks, be not fooled! It is an act, a façade, a charade contrived to mask the real Donald.

Folks, you have witnessed the real Trump in action; you know who he is. In the scary prospect of him becoming the most powerful man in the world, dangerous Trump would be completely unrestrained in pursuing whatever madness he could whip up during the night - or in a minute.

No limits, no controls. Don't think for a moment that the GOP or Congress could contain him; he would mow them over. What to do now?

Republicans, consider transferring your hopes and allegiance to your Senate and House candidates. Move away from this man as the quiet GOP leaders are already doing.

Hope that President Obama will discontinue the president's voluntary practice of providing security briefings to the nominees on matters regarding national and international, classified state matters. It's most unlikely that he will prevail and highly likely that he will misuse the information within days and, surely, in subsequent years as a private citizen.

Remember, you really already know who he is: erratic, reckless, petulant, vindictive, nationally divisive, insulting, totally lacking in self control and classically narcissistic. Be not fooled by a teleprompter trying to control the real Donald.
