A parade highlighted the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce & Industry's Summer Days festival on Saturday.
The two-day festival is held each year in historic downtown Grayslake.
A pet and bike parade kicked off Saturday's events, along with carnival games, food booths and attractions. Entertainment included Dave Rudolf, Slam Funk, Svelte Bobby and the Soulfixers, Blush and 7th Heaven. A bags tournament was added to this year's lineup.
"Music Makes the World Go Round!" was the theme of the annual Summer Days parade that stepped off from Grayslake Central High School. Other activities included bingo, go-cart races and the Grayslake Rotary Club's Kiss the Pig contest. The contest is also a fundraiser that benefits Grayslake Central scholarships, the Oasis Youth Center, local charities and food pantries.
