NEW YORK (AP) - Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily on Thursday:

Wal-Mart Stores Inc., up $1.37 to $74.30

The world's largest retailer raised its annual estimates after reporting strong results for the second quarter.

Cisco Systems Inc., down 24 cents to $30.48

The internet gear maker reported unimpressive quarterly results and plans to lay off 5,500 employees, or 7 percent of its staff.

NetApp Inc., up $5.03 to $33.88

The data storage company posted stronger results than analysts expected, aided by cost cuts.

L Brands Inc., up $3.81 to $77.87

The parent of Victoria's Secret posted results were that better than expected and then raised its projections for the year.

SunEdison Semiconductor Ltd., up $3.23 to $11.51

The maker of silicon wafers for the chip industry agreed to be bought by GlobalWafers for $12 per share, or $508 million.

Marathon Oil Corp., up 98 cents to $16.68

Energy companies climbed with the price of oil Thursday.

Hormel Foods Inc., up 69 cents to $37.04

The maker of Spam raised its annual estimates its refrigerated foods business performed well in its latest quarter.

Agilent Technologies Inc., down $1.71 to $46.72

The scientific instrument maker's guidance fell short of analyst estimates.
