East St. Louis school replaces windows after vandalism

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) - A Catholic school in East St. Louis has raised $100,000 to replace windows that were broken by vandals a year ago.

The Belleville News-Democrat (http://bit.ly/2aSKtvk) reports that Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School raised the money after windows were broken in the science and computer labs.

School officials say the new windows will provide more security, be energy efficient and provide shade control.

Roberta Trost is a director at the school.

Trost says that the school is also raising money to replace all the other windows at the school.
