Michael Jordan's Restaurant coming to Oak Brook

Michael Jordan's Restaurant, with similarities to the superstar's Chicago steak house, is expected to open next summer in a new development in Oak Brook.

Cornerstone Restaurant Group announced plans Friday for the new eatery in the new Oak Brook 22 at 1225 W. 22nd St.

“Michael Jordan and Cornerstone Restaurant Group are proud to open a first-of-its-kind restaurant, and are really proud of what the brand represents — a commitment to excellence,” said David Zadikoff, CEO of Cornerstone Restaurant Group. “Guests at Michael Jordan's Restaurant will experience a side of Michael Jordan they remember well; the restaurant really pays homage to his limitless drive for greatness.”

Cornerstone Restaurant Group and affiliate Jump Higher LLC, led by restaurateurs Jonathan Albert and Zadikoff, in partnership with Jordan, oversee all Michael Jordan-brand restaurants, including Michael Jordan's Steak House in Chicago, Connecticut and New York; Michael Jordan's 23.sportcafe and SolToro Tequila Grill, both in Connecticut.

The new suburban eatery will feature an interactive kitchen, entree salads, sandwiches and an emphasis on grilled items.

The premium steak selection will house an array of cuts, from all natural to grass-fed to USDA Prime. Further details about the menu were not available. Michael Jordan's Steakhouse in Chicago features a 10-ounce filet mignon for $48 and a 34-ounce dry-aged porterhouse for $99.

“We are very excited for Michael Jordan's Restaurant to arrive,” said Oak Brook Village President Gopal G. Lalmalani in a release.

“The Cornerstone Restaurant Group is creating a dining experience that our residents and visitors to Oak Brook will certainly enjoy. We are thrilled to work with them to bring a piece of MJ's greatness to our village.”
