Chicago Comedy All-Stars support Macahon at Emmett's

Chris Macahon's continued comeback bid will get a boost this week, courtesy the Chicago Comedy All-Stars and Emmett's Brewing Co. in downtown Palatine.

The All-Stars, featuring comedians Jimmy McHugh, Tim Harrison and Bob Jay will perform two comedy shows at Emmett's, at 7:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Friday.

Macahon was a standout performer on the Palatine High School basketball and baseball teams, earning starting roles as a sophomore and achieving at a high level throughout his prep career.

In December, Macahon was diagnosed with colon cancer after having attended Mesa Community College. An operation was performed to remove the tumor; Macahon has since undergone chemotherapy and is preparing to start a regimen of radiation treatments to further eradicate the cancer.

Macahon recently signed with the Illinois-Chicago to play baseball in 2017.

McHugh and his trio of Chicago Comedy All-Star comedians have worked all over the country and performed at all the local comedy outlets. McHugh, Harrison and Jay have each appeared on HBO, Comedy Central and Showtime.

Seating is limited to 60 people per show and reservations are required. A suggested donation of $15 per person is being asked to support Chris and his cancer fight.

For reservations please contact Jamie Macahon at jmac2524@yahoo.com or Jimmy McHugh at jimmyq42@yahoo.com.
