Friday is national lasagna day, and Olive Garden celebrates with lasagna available three ways: the lasagna fritta appetizer, a fried Parmesan-breaded lasagna topped with Parmesan cheese, marinara sauce and creamy Alfredo, for $9.29; the classic lasagna layered with pasta, Parmesan, mozzarella, pecorino Romano and homemade meat sauce with pan-seared beef and Italian sausage for $14.29; or the chocolate caramel lasagna, layers of vanilla-soaked sponge cake, chocolate, caramel and custard topped with chocolate shavings, for $7. Qulinarnia Modern Polish Cuisine recently rolled out a new summer menu with additions like the Chlodnik, a Polish cold soup with baked beets, mixed peppers, sugar snap pesto and watermelon, for $7. New entrees include the braised goose breast with gingerbread sauce, barley with beets, pears with crumbled panko with "oscypek" and sauteed Brussels sprouts for $28.
