Britain's Prince William and Kate to visit Canada this fall

OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) - Prince William and his wife, Kate, are visiting Canada this fall.

Governor General David Johnston, Queen Elizabeth's II representative as the head of state, announced the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Wednesday.

Their tour will take them to British Columbia and the Yukon.

It's the royal couple's second visit to Canada. Their first was in 2011 as newlyweds. They toured four provinces, the Northwest Territories, and made a stop in Ottawa to celebrate Canada Day.

A detailed itinerary of this tour will be published soon. There was no immediate word on whether the couple's children, George and Charlotte, will accompany them.
