Principle Construction Corp. in Rosemont has promoted James "Jamie" Molzahn to controller.

In this new role, Molzahn will be responsible for overall management of the accounting department, company benefits, human resources, and corporate insurance and bonding. He will also handle banking, financial management and reporting, and governmental reporting. Molzahn has been instrumental in the firm's accounting, financial analysis and forecasting over his past 8 years with Principle.

Molzahn joined Principle Construction in April 2008 as Accounting Manager. Prior to working at Principle, he served as a division controller for a major general contractor company in Waukegan. He also worked with a large general contractor in Park Ridge for more than 18 years as an assistant controller and accounting supervisor. Molzahn holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Eastern Illinois University where he was the starting goalie for the then nationally ranked EIU Men's Soccer team.

"Jamie's vast experience in accounting management, in the construction industry and excellent performance made him a great candidate for this promotion," said Principle Construction owner Mark E. Augustyn. "He has done a commendable job in helping Principle grow over the past eight years."
