Eintracht Frankfurt signs defender Guillermo Varela

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Eintracht Frankfurt says it has signed defender Guillermo Varela on a one-season loan from Manchester United.
Varela played for the Uruguay side that reached the final of the Under-20 World Cup in 2013.
Eintracht's director for sport Bruno Huebner calls the 23-year-old Varela a "very talented young player."
Eintracht is rebuilding after just avoiding relegation from the Bundesliga last season.
