Arkansas State picked 2nd in Sun Belt behind Appalachian St.

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State is picked to finish second in the Sun Belt Conference football race behind Appalachian State.

The Red Wolves and the Mountaineers each received five first place votes in the coaches' poll that was released Thursday, but Appalachian State received 114 total points to Arkansas State's 110.

Georgian Southern received the other first place vote and finished third in the poll, followed by Georgia State.

Troy and Louisiana-Lafayette tied for fifth, followed by South Alabama; Idaho; New Mexico; Texas State; and Louisiana-Monroe.
