Terre Haute airport starts rebranding effort with new name

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - Efforts to rebrand the airport in Terre Haute have started with a new name.

Airport officials on Tuesday said it will now be known as the Terre Haute Regional Airport. Airport Executive Director Jeff Hauser says a lot of people think that was the name already but it was Hulman Regional Airport. The FAA will keep the designation Hulman Field for pilots.

The (Terre Haute) Tribune-Star reports (http://bit.ly/29UmxHp) the airport's board of directors has been considering four names since November.

Hauser says the airport is redefining itself. He says the new name and new logo will be used to target new business. The airport has projects in the works involving runways and installing a new facade on the terminal. About 250 acres of land are targeted for development.
