Oklahoma promotes football assistants Bedenbaugh, Cooks

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The University of Oklahoma is promoting football assistant coaches Bill Bedenbaugh and Kerry Cooks.

OU head coach Bob Stoops announced Tuesday that both are being promoted to assistant coordinators.

Bedenbaugh is being promoted from offensive line coach to assistant offensive coordinator and Cooks is being promoted from defensive backs coach to assistant defensive coordinator.

Both will continue with their current coaching duties.

Bedenbaugh is starting his fourth season at OU while Cooks is beginning his second year with the Sooners.
