Tour interesting gardens in Central Lake County

The Gardeners of Central Lake County are hosting a free, self-guided garden walk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9. The self-guided walk will showcase five interesting and varied specialty gardens in Mundelein. Highlights include interesting groupings of native perennials, wide assortment of trees and shrubs including unusual varieties, monarch way station and native rain garden, Japanese inspired gardens, shade gardens, creative spaces highlighting garden art, sunny perennials planted on a steep lake bluff and many more garden gems.
