Motorcyclist killed in crash with Indiana State Police car

PORTAGE, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a motorcycle struck an Indiana State Police patrol car that was making a U-turn on the Indiana Toll Road, killing the driver of the motorcycle.

The crash happened Friday night just west of the Portage Toll Plaza on Interstate 90.

A news release from the state police says the trooper performed chest compressions on the motorcyclist, who died after being transported from the scene. He was taken to Portage Community hospital.

State police say the motorcyclist's license was suspended and the motorcycle was not registered.
