Hawks exercise option on Mike Muscala's contract for 2016-17

ATLANTA (AP) - The Atlanta Hawks have exercised forward-center Mike Muscala's contract option for the 2016-17 season.
Muscala played in a career-high 60 games last season, his third in the NBA, though he averaged only 3.3 points in 9.4 minutes per game.
The 6-foot-11 Muscala, who played for Bucknell, recorded his first career double-double with a career-high 18 points and 10 rebounds at Charlotte on March 28, 2015.
Muscala was the 44th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft.
