A timeline of David Galvin's career with state
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Documents obtained by The Associated Press show that the former communications director for state schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz accepted a position with a company that he'd worked with in creating a web app for Ritz's office. Here is a timeline of David Galvin's work:
- June-December 2012: Galvin serves as political director and campaign spokesman for Democrat Glenda Ritz, who was running for state schools superintendent.
- January 2013: Takes job as communications director for the Indiana Department of Education, under Ritz. Also oversaw the IT division.
- Feb.24, 2015: Galvin requested $138,000 payment to AT&T and N2N Services, AT&T's software developer, to make an app for the education department. Documents indicate a second phase of the project will launch in August.
- Aug. 7, 2015: Education department informs the AP that Galvin no longer works there.
- Aug. 25, 2015: Second instalment of $435,000 requested for continued work by AT&T and N2N.
- October 2015: Galvin starts employment with N2N.
