Krishnamoorthi to host Social Security roundtable June 20

Max Richtman, president and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare, will join 8th Congressional District Democratic candidate Raja Krishnamoorthi of Schaumburg for a roundtable discussion on the future of the two social service programs at 12:15 p.m. Monday, June 20, in the Rasmussen North Room of the Schaumburg Township District Library at 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

Krishnamoorthi is vying with Republican DuPage County Board member Pete DiCianni of Elmhurst to succeed Democratic Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth in the Nov. 8 election.

The 8th District is roughly centered in Schaumburg and includes parts of northwest Cook, northeast DuPage and northeast Kane counties.
