Arlington Heights Firefighters set record for MDA

The Arlington Heights firefighters of Local 3105 held its annual Fill the Boot Drive and Benefit Friday, June 3, to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, an organization that provides free-of-cost medical services and summer camps to local children living with Muscular Dystrophy.

That day, Arlington Heights firefighters volunteered their time to collect in the streets for MDA and then hosted a benefit that night at Ditka's Trackside, with proceeds again going to the MDA.

Local 3105 set yet another record this year by collecting $45,964, beating last year's record by more than $11,000.

The firefighters would like to thank all the Local 3105 members that came out to help support this special cause, along with all the residents, local businesses and sponsors who stood behind them.

Local 3105 would like to thank the sponsors that helped put this together: Napleton Dodge, Cabela's, Arlington Racetrack, Tuscan Market Wine Shop, Clementi's Pizzeria & Bar, Aurilio's Pizza, EFFEN Vodka, Lagunitas Brewery, Revolution Brewery, Itasca Brewery, Crystal Lake Brewery, Miller Lite of Town & Country Disttributors and Cardinal Liquors.

The Arlington Heights Fire Department would also like to thank MDA Ambassador 5-year-old Ben Noble and his family, along with Illinois Goodwill MDA Ambassador 13-year-old Lizzie Chamberlain and her family from Jacksonville, for coming out and being a part of the day.
