Carpentersville's new Walmart gets ready for grand opening

The new Walmart in Carpentersville, scheduled to open this summer, is almost complete as associates make final store preparations. The approximately 183,000-square-foot store, located at 365 Lake Marian Road, will include a full line of groceries and a wide assortment of merchandise.

"With major construction complete, we're in the home stretch for our grand opening," said store manager Phil Armstrong. "We're proud of our new store and look forward to offering Carpentersville residents our expansive selection of products and services at everyday low prices.

Customers will enjoy convenient in-store services such as a full pharmacy, fuel station and a free store pickup service providing an easy way to shop millions of products on Walmart.com, with many items available for pickup the same day.

Walmart is in the process of hiring approximately 160 additional local associates to work at the relocating Supercenter. Roughly 165 existing associates will be moving from the East Dundee store to the new location at Route 25 and Lake Marian Road.
