Elk Grove GOP to give out flags Saturday

The Republicans of Elk Grove Township are giving away 3-by-5-foot American flags in honor of Flag Day on Saturday.

Township residents can pick up the free flags at Elk Grove Township Hall, 2400 S. Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights, from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

"I'd love to see every home in Elk Grove Township display the American flag this summer," Art Niewiardowski, the Elk Grove Republican committeeman, said in a news release.

Refreshments will be served as part of the event.
