McHenry man charged with stabbing wife to death

A 30-year-old McHenry man was charged Tuesday with stabbing his wife to death at their home early Monday, authorities said. According to a criminal complaint, authorities said Anthony Harrison used a knife to stab his wife, Laura, in the neck. He remained under police supervision at a hospital. Full story.

Streamwood trustee dies at 65

Streamwood Trustee Guy Patterson, a nine-year member of the village board, died on Sunday, village officials said Tuesday. Patterson, 65, was also a Streamwood Park District commissioner for eight years - three of those as president. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday. Full story.

TSA shrinking wait times at O'Hare and Midway

Waits in security lines at O'Hare and Midway International airports have dropped significantly since mid-May, the TSA said Tuesday. But it still makes sense to get to the airport early in case you're among the minority of travelers in a line lasting more than 30 minutes. Clinton claims historic victory in Democratic primary

Hillary Clinton declared victory Tuesday night in her battle for the Democratic presidential nomination, becoming the first woman to lead a major American political party.
